FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE Animus Vertex releases DropShift, a polyphonic drop-tune plugin for guitar Animus Vertex has released DropShift, a polyphonic drop-tune plugin for guitar for Windows and macOS (VST3, AU and CLAP). It drops whole chords 1 to 7 semitones or an octave, so one guitar covers every lower tuning with the strings left at their normal tension: a guitar in Drop D plays in Drop C, B, A or G. DropShift has four engines for different stages of the work. Live lets you play through it, with pick attacks after about 2 ms. Classic is the natural-sounding default. Studio and HQ report their latency to the DAW, so the shifted guitar stays on the grid; HQ uses a phase vocoder for the cleanest low chords and is meant for mixing and reamping already recorded DI tracks. Key features - Drop 1 to 7 semitones or an octave, Fine ±50 cents - Polyphonic: full chords stay intact - Formant option to keep the pickup and body tone - Mix, Low cut, footswitch with a 10 ms crossfade - Mono and stereo, 44.1 to 96 kHz - Windows 10/11 (VST3, CLAP), macOS 10.15+ (AU, VST3, CLAP), native on Apple Silicon and Intel - Validated with pluginval at its strictest level, Apple's auval and clap-validator Pricing and availability DropShift costs USD 29. Until November 30, 2026 it is available for a launch price of USD 19. One license covers up to 3 computers, with free 1.x updates and no iLok. A free demo is available: it is the full plugin with a periodic soft noise. About Animus Vertex Animus Vertex is the one-person studio of Piotr Bogus, a guitarist and software developer from Silesia, Poland. DropShift is its first audio plugin.
